Having a quick glance at applications such as Net TV and Radio Player is enough to realize that internet is currently the strongest alternative to traditional television: thousands of TV channels and radio broadcasts, from all over the world, on one unique screen. Apart from the network, user experience depends on a broadcast’s quality, improving on a daily basis.

The application itself is extremely simple; it shows two main tabs, Channels and Player. The former focuses on channels management, the latter is based on Windows Media Player. Although features seem to be poor, a simple right-click, and many options for customization and statistics pop up right on the screen. The application includes a Bookmarks manager.

As an interesting feature, it is worth mentioning that channels are broadcasted in the original language, would it be Japanese, Chinese or any other. Indeed, the perfect tool for practicing and improving foreign languages.
